
North Dakota State's Mike Felt hit eight straight free throws in the final 65 seconds as the Bison held off Oral Roberts 80-74 Thursday night in Fargo, North Dakota.
The Bison (8-6 overall, 2-2 Summit League) led by nine with 6:39 left to play before ORU used an 18-9 run over the next five minutes to tie the game on Damen Bell-Holter's free throw with 1:22 left to play.
But, Felt put NDSU back on top with a pair of free throws and added six more down the stretch after missed opportunities by the Golden Eagles.
Bell-Holter led ORU with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Ken Holdman added 15, Warren Niles had 12 and Roderick Pearson scored eleven.
Felt scored 22 points to pace the Bison.
The Golden Eagles have now lost four straight and eight of their last nine to fall to 5-and-12 on the season and 2-3 in conference play.
Oral Roberts will look to end the skid Saturday when they visit South Dakota State at 7:30 p.m.
