Save Money On Heating Your Home

Winter is here, but many of us haven't taken steps to save on our heating bills.  Here are some ways to get your home ready for the cold.  PSO of Oklahoma has a check list to make your home more energy efficient, including:

  • A check of the insulation in your attic.  Up to code, and it could shave 20 to 30 percent off your monthly bill, by one estimate.
  • One fairly easy thing is to caulk or weather strip your doors and windows.
  • Close the damper when you're not using your fireplace.
  • And PSO says you can save 10-15% on your annual heating costs by turning your thermostat down to 68 during the day and 58 at night.

Peoria.The men reportedly came inside with a gun and demanded money.Officers say a gun went off during a struggle in the attempted robbery.No one was hurt.The men ran away from the store and most likely got into a getaway car.Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677). Callers may remain anonymous.
