ORU Storms Back, Beats UMKC in Overtime

TULSA, Okla. -- Damen Bell-Holter scored the tying basket as time expired in regulation and added four points in overtime to rally Oral Roberts past UMKC 69-63 on Saturday night.

Warren Niles had 18 points to lead the Golden Eagles (8-12, 5-3 Summit).  Steven Roundtree scored 17, Dominique Morrison had 15 and Bell-Holter added 13.

Jay Couisnard paced the Kangaroos (10-8, 3-4) with 20 points and Spencer Johnson added 14.

Couisnard's driving bank shot gave UMKC a 56-54 lead with 0.7 seconds left in regulation. After an Oral Roberts' timeout, Rod Pearson lofted a length-of-the-court pass to Bell-Holter, whose layup beat the buzzer.

In overtime, Niles' 3-pointer gave Oral Roberts its first lead of the game, 61-58, and Bell-Holter followed with a layup as the Golden Eagles went on a decisive 11-0 run.
