There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 3pm Wednesday until 6pm Thursday. Winter precipitation is expected to begin moving into Northeast Oklahoma Wednesday evening. As temperatures drop during the overnight hours, the wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet is expected to change over to snow. Snow is forecasted to continue falling through the day on Thursday and end by Thursday evening. Overall, we can expect up to 4 inches of snow and sleet accumulation and less than a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation.
With the winter precipitation comes hazardous driving conditions. Please exercise extreme caution when driving especially on bridges and overpasses and allow yourself extra time to drive to and from work, school, etc.
