Best Time to Buy These Products

Posted: Updated:

The weather has made it pretty tough to get out and do some shopping recently. But for those who can make it to the store, there are traditionally some good deals on certain products this time of year.

There's no doubt we're right smack in the middle of winter. So now's the time to think summer when looking for good deals on many products, according to FreeShipping.org's "Best Time to Buy Guide". Here are a few of them:

  • New bicycle models are released in February and March, which means stores will be slashing prices on older models to make room for them.
  • Last week may not have been the best time to catch the Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show, but some experts says winter boat show season is the best time to buy a boat.
  • Weddings are big during the summer, which means they're typically more expensive.  Low demand during the cold months can result in hot savings.  That goes for the winter honeymoon too.
  • And our spring and summer gardens are buried in snow right now, and that means it's a good time to find discounts on rakes, hoes and other garden tools.

It won't always be winter, and the snow will be gone... someday.  Might as well buy right, and save money for all this inconvenience.
