Oklahoma City -
The Oklahoma City Thunder have pulled off a pair of trades they hope will help them down the stretch.
The Thunder sent forward Jeff Green and center Nenad Krstic to Boston in return for center Kendrick Perkins and guard Nate Robinson. Perkins was a dominating factor for the Celtics during their 2008 NBA title run, but has been injured this season, appearing in only a dozen games.
Then, later this afternoon, the Thunder sent forward D.J. White guard Morris Peterson to Charlotte for center Nazr Mohammed.
The Thunder are in need of help in the post and they hope this trade helps them in that endeavor. Oklahoma City is 36-and-20, four games ahead of Denver in the Northwest Division and fourth in the Western Conference behind San Antonio, Dallas and Los Angeles.
The Northwest Division has been busy as of late with the Nuggets sending Carmelo Anthony to New York and Utah shipping Deron Williams to New Jersey.
