The Tulsa Drillers will open the 2011 season with an exhibition contest Wednesday evening against the club's parent team Colorado Rockies.
The Drillers are expected to send Christian Friedrich to the mound against Colorado's Esmil Rogers. Friedrich was 3-and-6 with a 5.05 earned run average in 18 starts for the Drillers last season.
Also in the lineup for Tulsa will be Darin Holcomb, who missed all of last season with a back injury, but was the Drillers' starting third baseman in 2009.
The exact lineup for the Rockies isn't known.
Tulsa will also play an exhibition game Sunday at home against the Oklahoma City RedHawks, then open the regular season April 7th at home against Corpus Christi.
