Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa Shock's Director of Player Personnel now has a new title -- hall of famer.

Teresa Edwards is one of ten players and coaches who have been selected for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

She was named the Tulsa Shock's Director of Player Personnel in November after spending time as an assistant coach in the WNBA.

Edwards was a standout at the University of Georgia, earning All-America status twice and helping lead the Bulldogs to the Final Four twice.

She also earned four Olympic gold medals (1984, 1988, 1996, 2000) and one bronze (1992) and also won gold at the FIBA World Championships in 1990 and Pan American Games in 1987.

She would go on to play professionally internationally as well as in the American Basketball League and briefly in the WNBA.

Sports Illustrated ranked her 22nd on the 100 Greatest Female Athletes of the 20th Century.
