Tulsa -
The Tulsa Drillers defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 11-2 in an exhibition game Tuesday afternoon at ONEOK Field with just two days left until the beginning of the regular season.
The Drillers broke open a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth on Thomas Field's solo home run. Bronson Sardinha made it 3-0 with a two-run shot later in the inning.
Tulsa would add eight more runs in the sixth inning for an 11-0 cushion before the Eagles put a pair of runs across late in the game.
Today was the final tune-up for the Drillers as they begin the season with a six-game homestand Thursday. Tulsa will play three games against Corpus Christi and three against San Antonio.
In Thursday's opener, Tulsa plans to send Juan Nicasio to the mound. Nicasio is considered the Colorado Rockies' eighth best minor league prospect.
