Tulsa -
Tulsa's first homestand of the season finishes at 3-and-3 with a loss in the finale Tuesday night to the San Antonio Missions.
The teams were involved in a pitcher's duel with all zeroes being tossed up until the Missions broke through for a run on Sawyer Carroll's single in the fifth.
The Missions added a run-scoring single from Beamer Weems in the sixth and a two-run homer by Jaff Decker in the eighth to pull away.
San Antonio used five pitchers in the game and all had the same result -- a shutout. Starter Anthony Bass got the win, allowing four hits in five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.
Tulsa starter Juan Nicasio (1-1) took the loss, allowing one run on three hits in five innings. He struck out six with no walks.
Tulsa now hits the road for the next six games, beginning Thursday at Corpus Christi. The Drillers took two of three from the Hooks in last week's opening series.
