Corpus Christi, TX -
A five-run seventh inning allowed the Tulsa Drillers to rally for a 9-6 win Friday night in Corpus Christi.
The Hooks put up a five-spot of their own in the fourth, including Ross Seaton's 3-run home run that gave Corpus Christi a 6-4 advantage.
But the Drillers began the seventh with four consecutive hits, including Wilin Rosario's two-run triple that put Tulsa on top, 7-6. James Cesario and Tim Wheeler added RBI singles later in the inning for insurance.
Tulsa pitchers retired the final 14 batters to preserve the lead. Stephen Dodson got the win, allowing one hit in three innings. Adam Jorgenson earned his third save with a scoreless ninth.
Tulsa pounded out a season-high 20 hits in the win, including four by Cesario and three each by Darin Holcomb and Bronson Sardinha.
Tulsa is now 4-and-4 and will wrap up their three-game series with the Hooks Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
