The University of Tulsa has received a verbal commitment from a Texas point guard.

According to InsideTulsaSports.com, Eric McClellan, a 6'4" point guard from Austin (TX) High, committed to the Golden Hurricane on Monday.

McClellan averaged 18.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game for the Maroons, who went 29-and-4 this season.

McClellan is Tulsa's first commitment for the spring signing period and joins Rashad Smith, who committed to the Hurricane in September.
