Lars Davis' RBI single in the top of the ninth lifted Tulsa to a 3-2 victory over Springfield Saturday night at Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri.

The Drillers trailed 2-1 heading to the ninth inning before scoring twice. Darin Holcomb drew a one-out walk and scored to tie the game when Bronson Sardina followed with a double.

After a ground out, Davis singled sharply to second base. A throwing error allowed Sardinha to come around to score the go-ahead run. A pair of walks loaded the bases, but the Drillers left them stranded when Tim Wheeler grounded out to end the inning.

Tulsa went to closer Adam Jorgenson to finish off the Cardinals in the bottom of the ninth. Despite giving up three singles, Jorgenson was able to get out of the jam thanks to a rundown that caught Tyler Hensley between second and third.

Jorgenson then struck out Nick Derba and got Niko Vasquez to ground out to end the game.

Stephen Dodson got the win for Tulsa, pitching the seventh and eighth innings, allowing one run on one hit. Jorgenson's sixth save is just one behind San Antonio's Brad Brach for the Texas League lead.

The Drillers and Cardinals will continue their series Sunday at 2:07 p.m.
