Oral Roberts junior outfielder Brandon King is the Summit League Player of the Week after helping lead the Golden Eagles to a series victory at Oakland over the weekend.

King went 9-for-17, drove in seven runs, scored six times and hit two home runs as ORU took three of four games from the Golden Grizzlies.

He had at least two hits in three of the four games, including a 3-for-4 effort in game one and 3-for-5 in game two.

King is batting .335 with a team-leading seven home runs and 40 runs batted in this season. He also leads the team in slugging percentage (.553) and on base percentage (.439) and has drawn a team-best 24 walks.

Oral Roberts is now 25-and-18 overall and 14-and-6 in Summit League play. The Golden Eagles will play at Wichita State Tuesday night before returning to conference play in a four-game weekend set at home against league-leading South Dakota State.
