
The University of Tulsa men's tennis team has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship with a 4-2 win over 20th-ranked Oklahoma Friday in Norman.
The 36th-ranked Golden Hurricane earned the doubles point with wins from the duos of Ashley Watling and Clifford Marsland and Tristan Jackson and Grant Ive.
Oklahoma battled back to take two of the first three singles matches to tie the score at 2-2, but Tulsa got wins from Grant Ive and Marcelo Arevalo to capture the victory.
The season ends at 16-and-8 for the Sooners.
Tulsa will now face 14th-ranked Texas on Saturday.
