Offense Disappears as Drillers Lose to Arkansas

Posted: Updated:

Hopefully the fans that attended Sunday's series-finale between the Arkansas Travelers and Tulsa Drillers weren't looking for offensive fireworks.

The Travelers scored a run in the bottom of the first inning on Alberto Rosario's single, giving Arkansas a 1-0 lead.

Fast forward a few hours, and that's exactly how the game would end.

Tulsa mustered just two hits the entire game - one in the fifth inning and one in the seventh - en route to a 1-0 loss.

Garrett Richards pitched eight strong innings for Arkansas, striking out nine while walking just one.

The Drillers return home for an eight-game home-stand beginning Monday night against Northwest Arkansas.

First pitch for that game is set for 7:05pm.
