Tulsa -
The Tulsa Shock opened its official training camp Sunday, but a very important player was missing -- and she's hard to miss.
Elizabeth Cambage, the team's 6'8" number one draft pick, has been delayed with visa complications. Team President Steve Swetoha told NewsChannel 8 those complications have been cleared up.
In one of her latest messages on the social network Twitter, Cambage said "I'm packing Tuesday night and I leave Wednesday morning."
The 19-year-old international star is in Australia, which is 14 hours ahead of Tulsa, so she could be at Shock practice as early as Wednesday, jet lag permitting.
The Tulsa Shock open their second season in Tulsa with a pre-season game on May 29th. The first regular season game is June fourth at San Antonio and the first home game is June tenth, also against San Antonio.
