
The University of Tulsa men's golf team moved up to eighth thanks to a 2-under 286 in Friday's second round at the NCAA West Regional in San Diego.
Tulsa is 17 shots behind the leader, USC, but just two shots behind fifth place San Diego heading into Saturday's third and final round.
Leading the way for the Golden Hurricane is John Young Kim, who shot a second-round best five-under 67 on Friday to move up from 44th into a tie for 11th.
The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, which begin May 31st in Stillwater.
