Police Shootout Leaves Two Dead

A bank robbery and shootout with police leaves 2 suspects dead Thursday afternoon.

In a statement sent to ktul.com, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said around 1 p.m. Thursday a bank was robbed in Wright City in Southeastern Oklahoma. Shortly after the robbery, OHP troopers set up a roadblock just west of Rattan. The suspects were spotted by police and that's when the shootout began. The suspects then ran a roadblock.

Eventually the vehicle was stopped and 2 of the 3 suspects were dead. Two men were killed in the shootout while a 3rd female suspect was taken into custody for further questioning.

Authorities have not released any names yet as they continue to investigate exactly what happened.
