One of the top passers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is coming north of the border as Sanger senior-to-be Dane Evans gave the University of Tulsa his verbal commitment on Sunday.
Evans passed for more than 36-hundred yards and 38 touchdowns last season for the Eagles, who went 9-and-2.
The 6'2", 180-pound signal caller says he also had interest from Oklahoma State, LSU and Utah.
Tulsa will be looking for a new quarterback following the 2011-12 season as G.J. Kinne will be a senior. Kinne and the Golden Hurricane ranked among the top ten in scoring and total offense last season and Kinne ranked fourth in the nation in total offense at 324 yards per game.
Tulsa begins its first season under new head coach Bill Blankenship September third against Oklahoma in Norman.
