NewsChannel 8's Carole Lambert took our Waiting Children, Michael and Christopher to Bounce U of Tulsa on South Memorial. It was the perfect place for these active brothers. Michael and Christopher are in great shape and are doing a lot of swimming and bike riding this summer.
Michael is 12 and will be in the 7th grade this year. He really enjoys science projects and learned a lot about pollination.
"We grew our own flowers and stuff, and we got some frozen dead bees and stuck and glued them to toothpicks and we pollinated them and you can see yellow pollen that comes off the flowers."
Christopher is 7 and will be in the second grade this year. He enjoys playing with his Legos and the puppies at his foster home.
"There's Laker, Pixie, which is a puppy, a full blooded pomeranian puppy, Angel.>
And, because Christopher likes animals so much, he says he might become a veterinarian someday.
Michael, on the other hand, is fascinated with fossils and might pursue archaeology.
Although both boys are on IEP plans, they have enormous potential. They just need stability and love from permanent parents. Michael knows adoption is the key to having a home where he and Christopher can stay forever.
"I just don't really want to spend my whole life moving from home to home."
Please call DHS Child Welfare to find out more about these terrific brothers and the adoption program. The number is 918-581-2033. And, by the way, their Native American ancestry is Cherokee.
