Six Drillers Compete in Texas League All-Star Game

Posted: Updated:

Six Tulsa Drillers represented Green Country in Wednesday's Texas League All-Star Game in San Antonio.

At the plate, only one of the Tulsa players reached base.  Scott Beerer saved what would have been an 0-10 night for Drillers batters with a single in the seventh inning.

On the mound, starting pitcher Christian Friedrich threw one inning, giving up three hits and one run.  Reliever Joe Torres lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing one hit.

The South jumped out to an early advantage, leading the North 3-0 by the end of the third inning.  The home team then held on for a narrow 3-2 win.

Tulsa takes to the ONEOK Field tomorrow night, for a 7:05pm first pitch against Corpus Christi.
