The Tulsa Drillers rally from a 4-1 deficit Thursday night in Corpus Christi to beat the Hooks 9-7. The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Drillers.
Tim Wheeler started off the game with his first of two home runs to give Tulsa the early one nothing lead.
The Hooks took control of the game with four runs in the third inning and then scored a run in each of the next three.
Tulsa continued to chip away and was down 7-6 when Wheeler hit his second home run of the game in the eight to pull the Drillers within one.
The Drillers then scored three runs in the top of the ninth highlighted by a Hector Gomez two run homer to left. Tulsa holds on to win 9-7.
Game two of the series is Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
