Tulsa Shock Fall to Phoenix, Lose 5th In A Row

Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa Shock were much more competitive against Phoenix than they were in their previous home loss, by 30 to Minnesota.

But the end result was the same - another loss, this one by eight, 86-78.

Tulsa added two new bodies to its rotation: Amber Holt, who was returning from a broken thumb suffered in the second game of the season - and Doneeka Lewis, who was signed earlier this week.

Both played, and played well.  But not as well as Elizabeth Cambage, who lead all scorers with 19 points.

Cambage's big night wasn't enough to get past the Mercury, who relied on star Diana Taurasi's 17 points.

These two teams go at it again on Sunday, this time in Phoenix.  Tip-off is at 6:05 CST.
