New Coach, Same Story - Shock Lose

Posted: Updated:

Surely this is not what Teresa Edwards' envisioned for her debut as interim head coach of the Tulsa Shock.

Phoenix built a 41 lead at the half, en route to a crushing 102-63 win Sunday night.  The loss was the worst of the season for Tulsa.

Seven of the 10 Mercury players scored in double-figures, lead by Taylor's 18 points.  Conversely, Tulsa had just three players score in double-figures.

Tiffany Jackson lead the Shock with a game-high 19, rookies Elizabeth Cambage and Kayla Pedersen were the other two in double-figures, adding 15 and 11, respectively.

Tulsa now travels to Chicago for Wednesday's game with the Sky.  Chicago also lost on Sunday, 80-73 to the New York Liberty.
