The Davey O'Brien Quarterback Award watch list is out and all three of the state's Division I starting quarterbacks are among those on the list.
Oklahoma's Landry Jones, Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden and Tulsa's G.J. Kinne are three of the 38 signal callers on this year's pre-season list.
All three were among the top five players in the nation in total offense with Jones averaging 327.86 for third, Kinne 323.92 for fourth and Weeden 323.77 for fifth.
Jones, a junior, passed for 4,718 yards and 38 touchdowns last season for the Sooners -- numbers that ranked second in the nation behind only Hawaii's Bryant Moniz.
Weeden, a senior, set school records last year with 4,277 yards passing and 34 touchdowns, earning him first team All-Big 12 honors.
Kinne, also a senior, led the Golden Hurricane in both passing and rushing. He had 3,650 yards and 31 touchdowns through the air while running for 561 yards and seven scores on the ground.
All three quarterbacks will compete against each other in the upcoming season with Jones and Kinne facing off in the season opener September third in Norman.
Two weeks later, Kinne and Weeden will battle it out in Tulsa. And, in the season finale, Jones and Weeden will face off in the annual Bedlam battle in Stillwater.
