According to a report by a Houston television station, former University of Nebraska quarterback Cody Green has narrowed his potential landing spots to two and the University of Tulsa is one of them.
Green, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, started four games in two seasons with the Cornhuskers. In two starts last season (at Iowa State and vs. Colorado), Green completed 17-of-25 passes for 159 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions and also scored a rushing touchdown.
Tulsa enters its final season with quarterback G.J. Kinne, who is on this year's Davey O'Brien Quarterback Award preseason watch list. Kinne led the Golden Hurricane in both passing and rushing last season.
The other team Green is considering is Baylor, but he'd likely be second on the depth chart to Robert Griffin III, who is now entering his redshirt junior season with the Bears.
Green tells Fox 26 Sports in Houston that he not only likes what Tulsa has done offensively and also likes the school academically. He says he expects to make his decision within the next week.
