Tulsa 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts has been named head coach of the USA Men's team that will compete later this year in the Pan American Games.

Tibbetts' assistant, Dale Osbourne, will fill one of the assistant coach positions on the team.

"I feel very humbled and privileged to be selected to lead the United States in the 2011 Pan American Games," Tibbetts said. "Coach Dale Osbourne and I are excited to represent the Tulsa 66ers and Oklahoma City Thunder organizations in this journey to earn a gold medal for the United States. We can't wait to get started and represent our great country."

Team USA's roster will be comprised of coaches and players from the NBA D-League. The players who will compete for roster spots will be announced later.

The Pan American Games are held every four years. This year, they're being held in Guadalajara, Mexico from October 13th through 30th with men's basketball being competed from October 26th through 30th.
