
Junior quarterback Shavodrick Beaver intends to transfer, University of Tulsa head coach Bill Blankenship announced Wednesday.
Blankenship says Beaver informed him of the decision to transfer and enroll at his hometown university of Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The 6'3" scrambler played in 15 games for TU over the past two seasons, rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown and throwing for 68 yards. He was to sit out the upcoming season as an academic redshirt.
"We wish Shavodrick the very best in his future endeavors. He is a fine young man and we hope that he has a good career at Midwestern State while pursuing his degree," said Blankenship.
Tulsa begins the 2011-12 season September third at Oklahoma.
