Former University of Nebraska quarterback Cody Green has signed with the University of Tulsa, the team announced Friday.
Green, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, started four games in two seasons with the Cornhuskers. In two starts last season (at Iowa State and vs. Colorado), Green completed 17-of-25 passes for 159 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions and also scored a rushing touchdown.
“We’re excited that Cody has decided to continue his education and football career at The University of Tulsa,” said head coach Bill Blankenship. “Cody is a solid citizen and a good student who is a perfect fit for our University. He combines tremendous athletic ability at quarterback with a desire to pursue a top-notch education from a top-100 academic institution."
Tulsa enters its final season with quarterback G.J. Kinne, who is on this year's Davey O'Brien Quarterback Award preseason watch list. Kinne led the Golden Hurricane in both passing and rushing last season.
