Tulsa Police officers tell KTUL.com a motorcycle driver was killed in midtown at S Harvard Ave & E 27th St. S just before 10:30 Saturday morning.

Employees at the nearby produce stand say there were two motorcycles going southbound on Harvard when they were stopped at a red light. They say once the light turned green, one of the drivers abruptly took off at a high rate of speed, crashing into a truck turning left into the Dollar Tree.

Witnesses say the man was not wearing a helmet.

Police say he was transported to St Johns in critical condition, but was pronounced dead. Nothing else is known about the man.

Those around the area say this is a dangerous intersection.
