The Tulsa Golden Hurricane had the day off from football to begin the fall semester of classes. While the players where getting their homework assignments, the coaches where busy talking to the media.
Head Coach Bill Blankenship said the players will have Monday's off all season. He talked about the importance of academics now that school has started. He said the players have two jobs. The one in the classroom and the one on the football field.
The Golden Hurricane open the season on the road Saturday, September the 3rd against the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
