A Glenpool mom is lucky to have her child back after her car was stolen with the kid inside Wednesday morning.
Glenpool police tell ktul.com, the mom called 911 just before 8 a.m. reporting her car stolen with the child inside. The incident happened outside a daycare in Glenpool while she was dropping off another child and left her younger child inside the car with the car running. About 15 minutes later officers spotted the car and the suspect dumped it at a Best Western along Highway 75 in Glenpool. The 5-year-old child was found safe but the suspect ran into the woods.
Police are now searching for that suspect who is described as a white man in his 20's. He was wearing a yellow shirt.
Glenpool Schools were put on lockdown for a few hours as a precaution.
