Tulsa Shock Win Second Straight

Posted: Updated:

It looks like the Tulsa Shock have finally learned how to win.

For the second straight game, the Shock emerge victorious.  Sunday's win came against Connecticut, the East's second-best team, 83-72.

Sheryl Swoopes again lead the Shock, scoring 22 points.  Her 22 was also a game high.  Ivory Latta poured in 19 points, and Tiffany Jackson added 16 points and 12 rebounds of her own.

For the Sun, Tina Charles lead the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Tulsa was down by 11 at the half, but outscored Connecticut 27-16 in the third quarter to tie the game heading into the final quarter.

That's where the Shock took control, outscoring the Sun 24-13.

Tulsa stays in Green Country for its next game on Tuesday against Phoenix.  Tipoff from the BOK Center is at 7PM.
