For the first time in the last nine games, the Tulsa Drillers left the field Thursday night not on the winning side.
Springfield beat Tulsa 7-3, avoiding the sweep out at ONEOK Field. It's double-bad news for the Drillers, as Northwest Arkansas beat Arkansas to move a game up in the race for the Texas League North Division crown.
Here in Green Country, Charles Cutler single-handedly beat Tulsa, going 3-5 with four RBI's. The Cardinals plated three runs in the top of the fourth to break open a 4-3 game. Those were the last runs scored.
The biggest series of the season gets started tomorrow out at ONEOK, as Northwest Arkansas comes to town for a winner-take-all three game series.
First pitch is at 7:05PM.
