The 9th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys overcame a lot Saturday night, make that Sunday morning to beat the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 59-33.
A game that was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m. was delayed for three hours due to severe weather that moved through Tulsa. The game ended at 3:35 a.m.
The game started a little after midnight. Tulsa took the lead early, but Oklahoma State then score on the next five possessions to take a commanding lead.
Brandon Weeden had 369 yards and three touchdowns.
Joseph Randle rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns.
Justin Blackmon failed to reach 100-yards receiving, snapping his NCAA record at 14 straight 100-yard games. He had just 57-yards and a touchdown.
GJ Kinne was knocked out of the game in the second quarter and didn't return. His status going forward is not know.
The Cowboys improved to 3-0 on the year and head to College Station Saturday, September 24th to open Big 12 play against the Texas A&M Aggies.
Tulsa falls to 1-2 for the season. The Golden Hurricane finish up their tough September stretch Saturday with a trip to 4th-ranked Boise State.
