The Tulsa Health Department is now offering the seasonal flue vaccine for the 2011-12 flu season.
This season's flu vaccine requires only one shot for most individuals. Children under 9 who have not received a flu shot before will need a booster shot four weeks later.
This season's flu shot includes the H1N1 vaccination as well as other strains of flu expected to circulate this flu season.
People who meet certain income guidelines, or who are on Medicare, will not be charged for the vaccine. Those with private insurance or can pay for the shot will be charged $25.
The flu vaccines will be offered on a walk-in basis Mondays thru Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the following Tulsa Health Department locations:
