A Memorial Service for former TU football player Clinkscale has been scheduled for Tuesday at noon at Sharp Chapel on the TU campus.
He died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 after participating in a non-sanctioned boxing match at Gutys Church in Tulsa.
A second memorial service will be held in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, October 1 at The Potter's House, 6777 W. Kiest Blvd. at 12 noon.
Clinkscale leaves behind his fiancée, Courtney (Coco) Thompson, two-year old daughter Ana'hla and his second baby girl is due this month.
Former TU teammates of Clinkscale have established The George Clinkscale Memorial Fund at the Bank of America and have also set-up a drop-off location at the TU football offices for clothing and baby items for his daughters.

Clinkscale was a football student-athlete and four-year lettermen at Tulsa from 2005-09. He played as a true freshman in 2005, red-shirted in 2006, then started for three years (2006-09). He played in 53 career games and started 33 contests. He had 127 tackles, 18 stops for -92 yards and four fumble recoveries in his career. Clinkscale earned a degree in Exercise Sports Science in 2009.
