Karo Cookie Contest

1 1/2 cups Karo Syrup
1/2 cup vegetable oil spread
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup sour cream
4 oz pecan halves
- Cream oil spread and sugar. Add eggs beating well and then add vanilla. Add dry ingredients and sour cream.
- When well mixed drop a tsp. full onto a greased cookie sheet. Smooth a little with a knife.
- Arrange pecans in a flour pattern.
- Drizzle with Karo Syrup.
- Bake at 400 degrees F. for 12 minutes. Cookies should be slightly brown.
- Remove from cookie sheet and drizzle again the Karo Syrup.
Makes 4 dozen cookies.
