NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - After six months on the job, new Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger will finally get the chance to learn some key information about his team.
Kruger gets to hold his first full practice Friday and move into the homestretch of preparations for the Sooners' Nov. 11 season opener against Idaho State.
Kruger says he's learned a lot from individual workouts and the limited practices allowed by the NCAA. And he believes his players have received the message that they will decide who plays, what role they play and who starts based on their effort in practice.
Two days after starting practice, the Sooners will host a "Hoops Jam" fan event on Sunday night.
