The Tulsa Golden Hurricane improve to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in Conference USA play with a 37-20 win over the UAB Blazers (0-6 overall, 0-3 C-USA).

Tulsa jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.  TU Head Coach Bill Blankenship warned us that UAB was better than their record showed and he was right in the first half.

Bryan Ellis three two first half touchdown passes to Jamarcus Nelson and the Blazers had a 17-10 lead.  Ellis complete 20-of-42 passes for 280 yards.

GJ Kinne and Tulsa rallied right before the break.  He had TD passes to Willie Carter and Clay Sears to give the Golden Hurricane a 24-20 halftime lead.

Kinne threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns.  Sears had nine catches for 105 yards and two touchdown grabs.

Ja'Terian Douglas lead the way for Tulsa on the ground.  He had 137 yards and a 47 yard touchdown run to put the game away in the second half.

The Golden Hurricane travel to Rice next weekend.  Tulsa and Rice kickoff at six.
