A report by an online publication says the nation's top quarterback prospect who was considering OU may be reconsidering his verbal commitment to Indiana.
A report by Steve Wiltfong of 247sports.com quotes Gunner Kiel as saying he is "re-evaluating my decision" and that he plans to take visits to other campuses.
One of those visits could come this weekend in South Bend, Indiana where Notre Dame plays USC.
Kiel's brother, Dusty, is the starting quarterback at Indiana under former OU offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. The Hoosiers are off to a 1-and-6 start this season.
Kiel has passed for 1,710 yards and 20 touchdowns against just two interceptions for Columbus (IN) East. In addition to Notre Dame, OU and USC, he is said to also have offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee and Wisconsin, among others.
Verbal commitments are non-binding and the first day high school players can sign national letters of intent is February 1, 2012.
