Tulsa Hosts Rival SMU

Posted: Updated:

Bill Blankenship and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane have a big rivalry game this weekend against SMU.   The Mustangs come to Tulsa with a 5-2 record overall, 3-1 in Conference USA play after losing to Southern Miss last Saturday.

TU is tied atop the West Division standings with Houston at 3-0.   The Golden Hurricane are 4-3 overall after a 38-20 win over Rice in Houston.

It's homecoming for Tulsa and the guys are looking to stop a two-game losing streak to the Ponies.

Bill Blankenship says he's had this game circled since the beginning of the season.  Because teams like SMU and Houston are good teams you have to beat if you're going to win a Conference USA Championship.

Tulsa and SMU kickoff Saturday at 2:30pm.
