SMU entered H.A. Chapman Stadium on Saturday with a two-game series winning streak over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
But TU was by far the better team on Homecoming, allowing just one Ponies TD en route to a 38-7 smashing.
The star of the game was Willie Carter, who caught 13 G.J. Kinne passes for 173 yards and a score - both career highs.
The Golden Hurricane defense was in charge all game long, allowing SMU just 265 yards of total offense.
The win leaves Tulsa and #17 Houston as the only two unbeaten's left in Conference USA. Those two teams meet in Tulsa on November 26th.
Next week, TU travels to Orlando for a Thursday night match up with Central Florida.
