Union Running Back Suspended Indefinitely

Posted: Updated:

Union Head Football Coach Kirk Fridrich confirms to Tulsa's Channel 8 Sports that running back Kendall Holmes has been suspended from the Redskins football team indefinitely.

I spoke with Coach Frid tonight on the telephone.  He did not elaborate on the reason why he was suspended.  But did say Kendall could be welcomed back to the team at a later date.

Holmes is the 8th leading rusher in Class 6A this season with 933 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns.

Holmes is our week 3 Ford Award nominee.

The three-time defending 6A state champs will finish out the regular season on the road Friday night against the Stillwater Pioneers.
