Sooners Win, Lose Broyles

Bob Stoops 6th-ranked Sooners defend their home field Saturday against Texas A&M, 41-25. 

But Oklahoma loses All-American wide receiver Ryan Broyles to a torn ACL.  It happened midway through the 3rd quarter.  Bob Stoops confirmed that Broyles will miss the rest of the season with the injury.

If this was Ryan's last game, he'll leave Oklahoma with 349 catches for 4,586 yards and 45 touchdowns.

He tweeted this after the game, "Thank you all for ur prayers! I have God and he is good! So that means I am good! He has a plan for me and his timing is perfect! #blessed!"

The Sooner struggled a bit in the first half, only leading 13-10 at the break.  But the third quarter was owned by the Sooners.  OU scored four touchdowns in the third and led 41-10 heading into the fourth.

Landry Jones was 18-of-38 passing for 255 yards and two touchdowns.  Broyles had two catches for 87 yards before he left the game.

Roy Finch rushed the ball 26 times for 99 yards and one touchdown.

The Sooners improve to 8-1, 5-1 in Big 12 play.  Oklahoma has the week off before traveling to face Baylor in Waco, TX on November the 19th.
