Fire Destroys Apartment Units

Posted: Updated:

Fire crews were called to the Observation Point Apartments late Saturday night.

A neighbor called them when he heard cries for help and saw flames and smoke coming from another apartment.

Firefighters were able to put out the blaze, but unfortunately not before the flames consumed two units. Fire investigators say one of those units is severely damaged, but the second is a total loss.

There were no reports of anyone getting hurt.

Investigators are still looking for the person who lives in the apartment that was completely destroyed. He left before authorities arrived.

Fire investigators have ruled the fire as accidental.  It appears to have been cooking-related.
