Weeden, Blackmon and Jones Named Camp Semifinalists

Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden, receiver Justin Blackmon and Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones are three of 15 semifinalists for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

The award is voted on by Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors. It goes to the top player in college football regardless of position.

Also named semifinalists are LSU defensive back Morris Claiborne, Alabama running back Trent Richardson, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, Oregon running back LaMichael James, USC quarterback Matt Barkley, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, Norther Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish, Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore, Houston quarterback Case Keenum, Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly, Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins and Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson.

The winner will be announced December 8th during the 6 p.m. edition of ESPN SportsCenter and the award will be handed out during the Walter Camp Foundation's annual awards banquet on January 14th in New Haven, Connecticut.
