Tiffany Bias scored 17 points to pace Oklahoma State in a 59-35 victory over Coppin State Saturday in the first game played since a tragic plane crash took their head coach and assistant coach.
The Cowgirls (2-0) led just 14-12 midway through the first half before going on a 20-2 run to end the half to lead 34-14.
The lead in the second half would grow to as many as 28 points on a 3-pointer by Jenni Bryan at the 4:33 mark.
The Cowgirls limited Coppin State to just 19-percent shooting from the field, including 1-of-12 from three-point range.
Bias was the only OSU player in double figures. She also had five assists and a pair of steals. Jeanine Manley scored 12 to lead Coppin State.
OSU will next play host to Alcorn State Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
