Athens, GA -

Former University of Oklahoma wide receiver Cameron Kenney was arrested last week for purse snatching and using a stolen credit card according to a police report.

Kenney's arrest came in Athens, Georgia on November 20th. According to the police report, the victim said her purse had been taken from her chair at a bar. The purse was later found in a lot behind the store.

It was later discovered that one of the victim's cards had been used at a nearby restaurant and later, several suspects were spotted by an officer, who located the victim's phone and other effects on one of the suspects.

Kenney was one of four who were detained and police said the victim's school ID card and driver's license was found in Kenney's wallet.

Police say video from the bar in which the purse was stolen shows Kenney taking the purse as one of the others stood as a lookout. The video also showed Kenney using the victim's credit card.

Once Kenney was taken to the police station, officers say credit cards belonging to the victim were found in his pants. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment because officers say he was injured while fighting with officers.

Kenney, whose home town is Dacula, Georgia, played for the Sooners in 2009 and 2010. In two seasons, he made 55 catches for 812 yards and five touchdowns. His biggest game came in last year's Bedlam game, in which he caught six passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

Against Connecticut in last year's Fiesta Bowl, he caught seven passes for 154 yards and a touchdown.
